Nile Cruise from Hurghada to Luxor and Aswan
4 Days

Mukwano Travel will pick you up at your hotel in Hurghada. The bus ride, which lasts about four hours, takes you along a beautiful route through the eastern desert and the Nile Valley to Luxor. Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting for you. After boarding your booked cruise ship, you will receive all the information you need about your Nile cruise during a welcome briefing with the guide. After lunch, the first visit on the agenda is the monumental Karnak Temple complex, the largest of its kind in the world. Here, you can follow in the footsteps of Ramses II, the most powerful pharaoh of all time.

Temple of Hatshepsut

Day 2
After breakfast and a short bus ride, you will arrive in Thebes on the west bank of the Nile. Here, you can admire the majestic Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the impressive Colossi of Memnon before returning to the ship. Following this, the Nile cruise begins with the first stop in Edfu. Enjoy a lunch buffet on the sun deck while you experience the real Egypt for the first time. As we approach our destination, you can relax and witness a unique "selling show" at the Esna lock, where vendors in small boats come to the cruise ships to offer their goods. Upon arrival in Edfu, you will have reached your destination for the day.

Museum of Mummified Crocodiles

Day 3
After breakfast and an exciting ride in a horse-drawn carriage, you will visit the impressive Temple of Horus in Edfu. Horus, the falcon-headed god, was central to ancient Egyptian belief. His temple in Edfu is one of the best-preserved temples in the country. Back on board, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the stunning, otherworldly landscape of the Nile Valley as you sail towards Kom Ombo.

As evening falls, you will visit the Kom Ombo Temple, also known as the "double temple," a unique monument in Egypt. Despite the heat, you may feel a slight chill when visiting the Museum of Mummified Crocodiles. After these sights, the ship will set sail for the final leg of the cruise, arriving in Aswan late in the evening.

Philae Temple of the Goddess Isis

Day 4
Today, you will first visit the Philae Temple of the Goddess Isis, located on the romantically situated island of Agilkia. Due to the construction of the old dam at the beginning of the last century, Philae was repeatedly submerged in the waters of the lower reservoir, threatening the beautiful temple with decay. Thanks to international efforts in the 1970s, the temple was dismantled from its original location and rebuilt on the nearby island of Agilkia.

Above the old dam stands the massive Aswan High Dam, nearly four kilometers long and towering at 111 meters—six meters higher than the Regensburg Cathedral. A visit to the High Dam is a highlight of your journey along the Nile to Egypt's southernmost city. From Aswan, you will travel back to the modern resort of Hurghada, situated along the crystal-clear Red Sea.

The described trip includes accommodation on board the ship and the optional excursion package for the Nile (see below). If the excursion package is not booked, you will not participate in the mentioned excursions and will only have accommodation and meals on board the ship.
