Hurghada to Cairo by Bus day Trip

Discover Cairo in one day with a city tour that takes you to the Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids of Giza, and the majestic Sphinx. The day begins early, at 3:00 AM, when Mukwano Travel picks you up from your hotel in Hurghada. Enjoy the comfort of an air-conditioned car or minibus as you travel for about five hours along the Red Sea coast and through the Eastern Desert to Egypt's capital.

Arrival in Cairo 

Upon arrival in Cairo, a German-speaking Egyptologist will be ready to guide and assist you throughout the day. As the beating heart of Egypt and the largest city on the African continent, Cairo is a vibrant metropolis. Greater Cairo primarily consists of the core cities of Cairo and Giza, with a total population of over 20 million people, making it one of the largest urban areas in the world. The ancient city has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979.

The excursion begins with a city tour, an unforgettable experience that you will take in with wonder! The traffic in Cairo, with its variety of vehicles, may seem overwhelming and fascinating at first glance.

Egyptian Museum 

Next, a visit to the Egyptian Museum, with its countless stunning exhibits, is on the agenda. Here, you can fully immerse yourself in Egypt’s thousands of years of history. If you were to view every exhibit individually, it would take two full weeks. For your comfort, a lunch at a local restaurant is provided.

Pyramids of Giza

Giza Plateau

On the Giza Plateau, you’ll find the world-famous pyramids. The Pyramid of Cheops, the last remaining wonder of the ancient world, is around 4,600 years old and was the tallest building in the world for over 4,000 years, with a volume of approximately 2.6 million cubic meters. Marvel at the grandeur of the three imposing pyramids of Giza, which majestically tower over nearby Cairo and still testify to the ancient power of the pharaohs. They are still guarded by the ancient Sphinx, a symbol of human wisdom and animal strength, although archaeologists continue to debate its exact age, generally attributed to Pharaoh Chephren. The tour ends around 3:00 PM, after which we leave Cairo and head back to Hurghada. You will return to your hotel at approximately 9:00 PM.
